Terms and Conditions

Conditions of Booking

  1. Hereinafter, Paul Alderson Photography and it's representative(s)may be known as 'the Photographer'. The Customer will be known as 'the Client. All contracts are subject to jurisdiction of the current laws of England & Wales.
  2. A non-returnable deposit of 50% or £500 (whichever is higher) is required to secure your booking, along with a completed Contract form, duly signed by all parties to secure your booking date. Bookings will not be confirmed, under any circumstances, unless the deposit AND the signed Contract form have both been received by Paul Alderson Photography (cheques not accepted). Bookings will not be reserved or held, unless these terms are adhered to.
  3. If the booking is cancelled by the Client for whatever reason, deposits will not be refunded (In extreme circumstances, subject to availability, it may be possible to change the date of the booking, for an additional fee of £250.00
  4. The Client accepts that Paul Alderson Photography will be the sole professional (paid) Photographer. This does not affect your rights to hire a Videographer, should you choose to do so
  5. If your booking is outside the UK Mainland, additional fees of £500.00 will be required, to cover Travel & Accommodation
  6. The remaining balance becomes due 2 calendar months before the Ceremony date. The Photographer reserves the right to cancel the booking, with no refund due, if the balance is not paid when due
  7. Copyright remains with the Photographer at all times, but images can be used for Personal Use only, including for Family, Friends and Social Media, but MUST NOT be sold, edited, published in printed publications or uploaded to any Photo Library, under any circumstances, without written permission of the Photographer
  8. By accepting these Conditions, the Client accepts that the Photographer may use random images in future marketing material, but this will not be done where children or vulnerable persons may be included in an image
  9. Special requests will be accepted, for the Photographer to exclude images containing children or vulnerable persons from any future marketing materials
  10. If your booking is for a period in excess of 5 hours, food must be provided for the professional photographer(s) in attendance, including any additional paid Photographers
  11. Force Majeure: If your booking cannot take place due to War, Conflict, Disaster or an Act of God, Paul Alderson Photography cannot be held liable for refunds
  12. If it is not possible to attend, due to road closures or not being possible to
  13. Limitations to Liability: The Photographer cannot be held responsible, if it is not possible to shoot images because the Wedding Officiant or the venue will not allow images in their venue
  14. If images cannot be captured within the agreed allotted time, through no fault of the Photographer(s), Paul Alderson Photography cannot be held responsible. It may be possible to purchase additional time (if payment can be received on the day), but in some circumstances an additional fee to cover travel and/or accommodation may be payable
  15. In the event of the Photographer becoming ill and unable to attend, or equipment failure of any kind, Paul Alderson Photography cannot be held liable for refunds greater than the amount paid by the client. If this is due to illness, the Photographer will make every effort to find a suitable replacement Photographer.
  16. Where applicable, the Photographer will provide completed Wedding Albums within 6 weeks of the Client choosing which images they wish to receive.
  17. If the Client has not chosen which images should be placed in the Album(s) within 3 months of image previews being provided, Paul Alderson Photography reserves the right to make an additional charge of £250.00, to cover increased costs of providing the Album(s) at a later date
  18. Paul Alderson Photography will retain images for a period not exceeding 5 years from the Ceremony date
  19. After a period of 5 years from the Ceremony date, images may be destroyed and no longer available for purchase
  20. It will be assumed that on receipt of a non-returnable deposit AND the signed Contract form, the Client agrees to all of the above Conditions of Booking
